The structure
Since KBK is a vast area, the university should be distributed across a few towns in the KBK regions. Possible towns include Koraput, Rayagada, Bhawanipatna, Jeypore and Balangir.
The undivided Koraput-Balangir-Kalahandi of Orissa is one of the most backward regions of India. These districts also have a very high tribal population. Recently, the CM of Orissa urged the Centre to accord approval for a central university in that area. The HRD minsiter Mr. Singh sought a formal proposal while appreciating the rationale behind the idea. We would like to champion the immediate establishment of such a central University in KBK and other such district clusters of India.
